Yukon Board Requirements

PDH's Required:
240 PDHs/3 years - It is recommended that each member obtain and claim 80 PDHs per year, but a maximum of 180 PDHs can be claimed in any given year.
PDH Reporting:
Annual by December 31: On an annual basis, you are required to enter your Continuing Professional Development hours online during the renewal process.
License Renewal:
Based on Annual Renewal: You are required to renew your license annually by December 31.
PDH Categories:
You cannot claim more than the maximum PDHs allowed annually in each of the six categories: 
  • Professional Practice: 50 PDHs/year with 1 PDH = 15 Hours of Professional Practice
  • Formal Activity: 30 PDHs/year (1 PDH = 1 Hour of Learning)
  • Informal Activity: 30 PDHs/year (1 PDH = 1 Hour of Learning)
  • Participation: 20 PDHs/year (1 PDH = 1 Hour of Learning, maximum of 10 PDHs/year for non-technical community service)
  • Presentations: 20 PDHs/year (1 PDH = 1 Hour of Learning)
  • Contributions to Knowledge: 30 PDHs/year
  • Caregiving: 20 PDHs/year (1 PDH = 15 Hours)
You must include activities in at least three of the six categories.

CEDengineering.ca is qualified to offer Formal Activity.
Course Applicability:
Members must complete one hour of ethics CPD every reporting year. Members can then document the mandatory hour (and any extra hours) spent on ethics training in the appropriate category. The details of the ethics training are to be logged in the Detailed Activity Record maintained by the member. All other PDHs should be technical in nature under the Formal Activity.
PDH Carryover:
Unclaimed PDHs can be carried over for up to 2 years.
