Northwest Territories and Nunavut Board Requirements

PDH's Required:
240 PDHs/3 years
PDH Reporting:
Annual by December 31: With renewal each year, you are required to submit 80 PDH’s or declare the name of the other Canadian jurisdiction where you are in compliance with mandatory CPD Annual Reporting.
License Renewal:
Based on Annual Renewal: You are required to renew your engineering license annually by December 31.
PDH Categories:
You cannot claim more than the maximum PDHs allowed annually in each of the six categories: 
  • Professional Practice: 50 PDHs/year (1 PDH = 15 Hours of Professional Work)
  • Formal Activity: 30 PDHs/year (1 PDH = 1 Hour of Learning)
  • Informal Activity: 30 PDHs/year (1 PDH = 2 Hours of Learning)
  • Participation: 20 PDHs/year (1 PDH = 1 Hour of Learning, maximum of 10 PDHs/year from non-engineering related activities)
  • Presentations: 20 PDHs/year (4 PDHs = 1 Hour of Learning)
  • Contributions to Knowledge: 30 PDHs/year
You must include activities in at least three of the six categories. 
Categories Offered by CED:
CEDengineering.ca is qualified to offer Formal Activity. 
Course Applicability:
All PDHs should be technical in nature under the Formal Activity.
PDH Carryover:
PDH credits accumulated in excess of the annual maximum in any category may be carried forward for a maximum of two years from the date of completing the activity.
