This online engineering 2 PDH video presentation will present useful tips and insight to help a new leader learn and practice some of the critical skills of effective leadership.
It is designed to be a reference and teaching aid for use later as the leader works to develop the more promising members of the work team. This course will provide directions to leading your team through times of organizational change, describe the benefits and disadvantages of empowerment, provide basics for successful negotiations, and strategies to develop personal power and influence within the organization.
This 2 PDH video presentation is intended primarily for new or existing leaders willing to learn or improve their leadership skills.
This PE continuing education course is intended to provide you with the following specific knowledge and skills:
- Learning from past change events the skills, knowledge, or attitudes that can help with future change.
- Identifying the “changeless core” that is within us in preparation for future change.
- Leading a SWOT analysis with your team to develop a strategy to deal with the pending changes.
- Discovering the advantages and disadvantages of delegating and empowering employees.
- Developing basic negotiation skills for use with employees, peers, or “managing up” with your boss.
- Learning how to develop personal power and influence within the organization.
For this course, you will need to watch the video presentation titled, “MORE Leadership Fundamentals”. To access the video presentation, you will need to log in or register and purchase the course. Following course purchase, please click on the link provided in your account history to view the video presentation. The duration of the video presentation is approximately 107 minutes.
Once you are finished watching the PDH video presentation, you will need to close or minimize the video portal to return to your account and click on “Take Quiz”. You will need to take a multiple-choice quiz consisting of ten (10) questions to earn 2 PDH credits. The quiz will be based on this video presentation.
