Saskatchewan Board Requirements

CPD Credits Required:
All members except Waiver Holder are required to obtain a minimum of 80 CPD credits each year. Waiver Holders are required to obtain a minimum of 30 CPD credits each year.
CPD Credits Reporting:
Annual by December 31: You are required to log into your Online Profile on the APEGS webpage and report your annual CPD credits by December 31 of the year following the calendar year for which you are reporting.
License Renewal:
Based on Annual Renewal: You are required to renew your license annually by December 31.
CPD Categories:
You cannot claim more than the maximum CPD credits allowed annually in each of the six categories: 
  • Professional Practice: 50 credits/year (1 credit = 15 Hours of professional work within a member’s scope of practice)
  • Formal Education: 30 credits/year (1 credit = 1 Hour of Learning)
  • Informal Education: 30 credits/year (1 credit = 1 Hour of Learning)
  • Participation: 20 credits/year (1 credit = 1 Hour of Learning, maximum of 10 credits/year for community service activities)
  • Presentations: 20 credits/year (1 credit = 1 Hour of Learning)
  • Contributions to Knowledge: 30 credits/year
You must include activities in at least three of the six categories.

CEDengineering.ca is qualified to offer Formal Activity.
Course Applicability:
All members must undertake a minimum of 1 (one) hour of verifiable ethics training each year.  Time spent on ethics training can be cumulatively earned over the year. Members can document the hours spent on ethics training in the Formal Activity category. All other PDHs should be technical in nature under the Formal Activity.
CPD Carryover:
Members can carry over an unlimited number of credits each year.  However, only a specific number of credits can be claimed per year, and credits expire 2-years after which they were earned.
